Heritage Accessibility has been set up to allow disabled visitors to find out more about the true accessibility of heritage sites. Many sites make it very difficult to find out in advance whether or not they are suitable for wheelchair users, or do not provide the information that you really want to know. Yes, the location may have toilets, but are they possible to get to in a wheelchair, or is there a step to get into the stall? Is there enough room to actually enter and maneuver once you are in the building? The aim of Heritage Accessibility is to raise awareness of these issues and share them with you to make your visit more pleasant. Please feel free to contact us through the 'Contact' section if you have any questions or requests for places you would like us to visit and share the accessibility requirements.
